Mozart - The Four Hornbone Concertos

This album features Mozart's four horn concertos, performed on trombone by Christian Lindberg with the Tapiola Sinfonietta under Jean-Jacques Kantorow. Inspired by historical discoveries suggesting these concertos were written for the now-lost "hornbone," Lindberg’s interpretation reinvigorates these classic pieces. Using trombone instead of horn, he brings a fresh perspective to Mozart's lively, humorous compositions, challenging traditional boundaries and paying homage to the virtuosic spirit of Mozart’s music.
