This release celebrates the relationship between the London Philharmonic Orchestra and distinguished conductor Sir Adrian Boult, from his tenure as Principal Conductor (1950–59) to his retirement in 1978. The recordings in this volume are some of the earliest he ever made with the Orchestra and show Sir Adrian as a great supporter of music by composers of his own country.
