Einar Henning Smebye

Norwegian pianist Einar Henning Smebye (b1950).
He has been active as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Norway, including numerous appearances at the Bergen International Festival. He has performed with all the major Norwegian symphony orchestras, and on Norwegian radio and television. Since 1995 professor of piano at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Smebye was elected 'Musician of the Year' by the Norwegian Society of Composers in 1997, and in 2006 received the Fartein Valen Prize.
