Alexei Ogrintchouk
Russian oboist Alexei Ogrintchouk (b.1978), one of today's most outstanding oboists who has been performing worldwide since the age of 13. He is a graduate of the Gnessin Moscow Specialist School of Music and the Paris Conservatoire. Winner of many awards, including a first prize at the Geneva International Music Competition and two 'Victoires de la Musique' in France. Appointed principal oboist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra by Valery Gergiev at the age of 20, Ogrinchouk has been principal oboist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra since 2005.
