Katarina Karnéus

The Swedish mezzo-soprano Katarina Karnéus (born 1965) won the Cardiff Singer of the World Competition in 1995. Since then she has established an international career in opera, concert and recital throughout Europe and the USA, performing at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Covent Garden in London and the Opéra Comique in Paris. She collaborates regularly with conductors such as Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Charles Mackerras and Sir Simon Rattle and gives numerous recitals, for instance at the Lincoln Center, the Wigmore Hall and the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels.
