Penelope Evison

New Zealand flutist Penelope Evison has specialized in early flutes. After gaining the diploma in flute at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and the licentiate of Trinity College, London, in 1974, she completed her studies in France, specializing in baroque flute with Pierre Sechet at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Creteil, where she was awarded first prize in 1979. She has taught widely in France and Scandinavia.
