Ulf Bästlein

German bass-baritone Ulf Bästlein (born 1959). In 1999 he was appointed professor at the Musikhochschule Lübeck, and in 2000 likewise at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz. Ulf Bästlein has devoted much of his time to (re-)-discovering and studying the German Lied repertoire from the eighteenth century to today and to making it known through his recitals to a wider public.
