Norwegian pianist Håkon Austbö (born 1948). His international breakthrough came after he won the International Messiaen Competition for contermporary music (Royan, 1971). Since 1974 he has lived in the Netherlands and has toured all over the world as a soloist and chamber musician. His lifelong work with the music of Scriabin has earned him the position of vice-president of the International Scraibin Society in Moscow. Professor at the Amsterdam Conservatory and the University of Stavanger.
