Dutch orchestra Van Wassenaer, founded in The Hague in 1990. The orchestra unites players who have been particularly influenced by the style of Sigiswald Kuijken. This common musical background gives the group a strong, unified sense of style and its own particular identity. The orchestra plays on period instruments and owes its name to the Dutch composer and statesman Count Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer.
