Stevens: Variations in Olden Style (d'après Bach), for solo tuba and strings, written for 'Bozo the Great' (Roger Bobo). The theme (Andante) is taken from J.S. Bach’s Sixth French Suite for harpsichord, and the five brief variations that follow (Grazioso, Allegro moderato, Adagio poco pesante, Adagio and Allegro) are written in a style akin to that of Corelli’s violin sonatas and Händel’s harpsichord suites.
