Ravel began with a 'Fandango' but soon changed to 'Boléro', and thus was born his most famous infamous piece, one of the few conceived and written directly for orchestra. When Ravel was told that at the first performance a lady hade called out, "He is mad!", he answered, smiling, that she understood the piece. Music used in the films 'Basic', '10' and 'Funny Bones'.
