Hungarian violinist and conductor. Born in Leipzig, of Hungarian descent, and grew up in Budapest, studied at the Béla Bartók Conservatory. Pál received the top prize at the National Music Competition. Concertmaster of the Beethovenhalle Orchestra in Bonn and of the Kölner Kammerorchester in Cologne. 1976 founding member of the Orlando Quartet, which he led to become a highly successful ensemble. Performs regularly as a soloist.
