Endre Szervánszky



Hungarian composer Endre Szervánszky (1911-1977) belonged to a generation of composers whose artistic activity came at an inopportune time. He grew up in the shadow of the mature Bartók and Kodály and reached maturity during the war years, after which he lived under dictatorial oppression. Now regarded as the doyen of post-war Hungarian composers.
