Swedish composer Gösta Nystroem (1890-1966). With Nystroem modern Swedish music came to include a French line. He spent 13 years in France. After his return to Sweden he lived near Gothenburg, making a living as a music critic. In the 1930:s the study of Baroque polyphony led to a more dissonant style, but later his music became more harmonic.
