Bulgarian composer Marin Goleminov (1908-2000). Studied at the Sofia Academy in violin, pedagogy and chamber music classes from 1927 until 1931, continuing his education in composition and conducting at the Schola Cantorum in Paris until 1934, while at the same time studying philosophy, aesthetics and music history at the Sorbonne. His long period of training ended in Munich in 1939. He was active in Bulgarian musical life as a performer from 1934 onwards and was named professor of orchestra, conducting and orchestration at the Academy in Sofia in 1947, additionally in 1949 also of composition and orchestration.
