Spanish composer Sebastiàn de Albero (1722-1756). First organist of the Royal chapel between 1748 and 1756. Known for his sonatas for harpsichord. The music of Albero displays a comprehensive gamut of idomatic writing for the harpsichord derived, in part, from traces of the 'style brisé' tradition, of the 'Empfindsamkeit', but mostly it reflects the lyrical pathos and rhythmic vitality that are distinctively Spanish.
