Tabea Zimmermann



German violist Tabea Zimmermann (b. 1966).Her training culminated in success in a series of competitions, including first prize in the International concours in Geneva in 1982, in Budapest in 1984, in the 'Maurice Vieux' competition in Paris in 1983 and the International Prize of the Chigiana Music Academy of Sienna. Zimmermann is a guest musician with famous orchestras throughout the world, she is passionate about chamber music and has a great interest in contemporary music. Since 2002 professor of viola and chamber music at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin.
