Dmitry Sitkovetsky

The celebrated Russian violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky (b. 1954 in Azerbaijan) enjoys a successful international career as a soloist. He also enjoys a flourishing conducting career, initially by founding his own chamber orchestra, the 'New European Strings'. Since 2003 Music Director of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Russian State Orchestra. In 2006 he was named Artist-in Residence of the Orquesta Sinfonica de Castilla y Leon in Spain. Since 1987 Sitkovetsky lives in London.
