Zeisl: Requiem Ebraico (The 92nd Psalm), for soli and mixed choir, organ and orchestra. Choir of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra; soloists Gabriella Pace, soprano; Luisa Francesconi, mezzo-soprano; Rodrigo Esteves, baritone. Nelson Silva, organ.
In 1944 the Los Angeles synagogue commissioned a new setting of Psalm 92 from Erich Zeisl. Soon after the commission Zeisl received the tragic news of the death of his father and several friends in the Holocaust, and the work developed into an expression of grief.
