Heini Kärkkäinen

Finnish pianist Heini Kärkkäinen (b. 1966) completed her Master of Music degree at the Sibelius Academy in 1991. She won the Ilmari Hannikainen Piano Competition in 1984 and came second in the Maj Lind Piano Competition two years later. In 1993 she was nominated Young Artist of the Espoo International Piano Week. Kärkkäinen has performed in many European countries and in the USA.
