Walton Grönroos



Finnish baritone Walton Grönroos (1939-2008).
Born on Finnish Åland. Studies at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. Enyoyed a highly successful career at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. Director of the Finnish National Opera between 1992 and 1996 and thereafter of the Royal Opera in Stockholm.
