Katrine Buvarp

Norwegian violinist Katrine Buvarp studied first in Oslo and later under Camilla Wicks in Houston and at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Since then she has become one of Norway’s most successful instrumental soloists, making her début in 1994 and appearing with all the major Norwegian orchestras as well as orchestras in the other Nordic countries and at Norway’s foremost music festivals. She has broadcast frequently on Norwegian radio and television and has toured in England, Azerbaijan and Poland. She has been a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and has received numerous prizes and scholarships.
