Sheng: Flute Moon, for piccolo/flute, harp, piano, percussion and string orchestra. Directly inspired by Chinese literature and mythology. 1st movement portrays a couple of mythological giant unicorns, 2nd movement is based on a classical art song by Jiang Kui from the Sung Dynasty (13th century).
