The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1919, maintains a rich musical tradition and has from the outset been able to count a large and committed audience. Over the years the orchestra has had many fine conductors and, under the baton of Mariss Jansons, became renowned as one of the best orchestras in the world.
