Some of Bach´s solo concertos exist in two versions - both as violin and harpsichord concertos. From this it can be deduced that concertos where only the harpsichord version has been handed down could also be based on missing drafts for violin or other lead instrument. While the original concerto of BWV 1060 for two melody instruments has clearly survived (BWV 1043) , the same cannot be said of BWV 1060.
