Danish Kontra Quartet. One of the leading string quartets in Europe. The Quartet was founded in 1973 at Hungarian violin virtuoso Anton Kontra's initiative. In 1989 the Kontra Quartet became the first Danish ensemble for many years to be appointed as a State Ensemble.
