Zoltán Kodály

Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967). His music is imbued with the spirit and musical idiom of Hungary, and is in general less astringent than is sometimes the case with the music of his colleague in folk music collection, Bartók. Kodály was active as a composer until his death 1967.
