Joe Jack Binglebandit (for solo trombone)

Christian Lindberg: Joe Jack Binglebandit, for solo trombone. A virtuosic showpiece for trombone, but also a portrait of the wonderful, boisterous prankster Jonas Bylund, a fine musician who has won prestigious competitions in both Munich and Geneva, as well as solo positions with some of the finest orchestras. Jonas Bylund is a professor at the Hanover University of Music and Drama in Germany, where he taught the 2006 winner of the Christian Lindberg International Trombone Competition, held in Valencia in Spain. This piece was written as a present for his 40th birthday.
