Tubin started to compose his Requiem in 1950 but in the middle of the second movement he suddenly ceased writing. It was not until nineteen years later that he continued with the work. First performance in Stockholm 1981, Tubin's last appearance as a conductor.
With Håkan Hardenberger, trumpet, Helmut Sitar, timpani, Peter Wallin, drum and Janåke Larson, organ.
Fourth movement based on 'Lilac' (1919) by Henrik Visnapuu. With Roland Rydell, baritone.
