One of Spain’s leading pianists, and recipient of the country’s prestigious Premio Nacional de Música award, Javier Perianes presents a new album dedicated to Chopin.

The album includes Chopin’s Sonata No. 2, Op. 35, with its famous ‘funeral march’ third movement – music known by millions and certainly a classical essential. It’s released just as Perianes was awarded the Granada Festival Medal, a moment that was covered strongly by the Spanish classical press.
