Koechlin: Le Docteur Fabricius. World premiere recording. A symphonic poem after the novel by Charles Dollfus. 'The firmament' in 'Fabricius' is a mere utopia, a wishful dream, which dissolves softly at the end and cannot be held fast after waking. The disapperance of this dream and the thoughtful awakening of the dreamer back to 'reality' is one of the magical moments in Koechlin's 'Fabricius'.
