In addition to the relevant parts of Musical Offering, Bach composed a whole series of individual canons that are still preserved. They show us the master's almost lifelong preoccupation with this compositional challenge. Most of the musicians featured in this recording are members of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and/or of the FBO-Consort.
