Andantino

The title 'In the mists' seems to imply that Janácek's four-part piano cycle is closely related to Impressionistic tone picture. What it actually means is that the memories of his youth spent in the Hochwald appeared to the eyes of the now sixty-year-old as if through a veil of fog, thus putting it much closer to his autobiographically inspired works.
