Kaspars Putnins



Latvian conductor Kaspars Putnins (b. 1966) graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music in 1991. In 1986 he formed the youth choir Balsis, the winner of several national and international choral contests. Since 1992 conductor of the Latvian Radio Choir. Putnins was awarded the Latvian Music Grand Prix in 1998 and received the Latvian Council of Ministers Award for achievements in culture in 2000.
