Hannu Koivula



Finnish conductor Hannu Koivula (born 1960). Principal conductor of the Swedish Gävleborg Symphony Orchestra 1991-1996, the Finnish Joensuu City Orchestra and the Vasa City Orchestra, from 1996 the Danish Radio Sinfonietta. Also a well-known opera conductor. First prize at the Nordic Conducting Competition in Stockholm in 1990.
