Brazilian conductor Celso Antunes (b1959). Chief conductor of the Netherlands Radio Choir and professor of choral conducting at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva. From 1994 to 1998, after studies at the University of São Paulo and the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, he was chief conductor of the Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester and the Antwerp-based ensemble Champ d'Action. As artistic director and chief conductor, Antunes contributed to the success of the National Chamber Choir of Ireland between 2002 and 2007.
