Fructuoso Vianna



Brazilian composer Fructuoso Vianna (1896-1976), who had studied in Rio, travelled to Berlin, Brussels and Paris in the 1920s. A brilliant pianist, he succeeded in combining European virtuoso piano repertoire with Brazilian styles, and many of his shorter works are based on folk themes.
