Dimitris Mitropoulos



American conductor and composer Dimitris Mitropoulos (1896-1960), born in Greece, settled in USA 1936. He was noted as a champion of modern music. Conductor of Minneapolis Symhony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic Orchestra, and he worked with the Met.
