Arturs Maskats
Latvian composer Arturs Maskats (b. 1957). Graduated in 1985 from the Latvian Academy of Music. Music Director for 16 years of the Riga Daile theatre, composing music for more than 90 theatrical productions throughout his native country. Since 1996 Artistic Director of the Latvian National Opera. In 2002 appointed professor at the Jazeps Vitols Academy of Music.
