Hovhaness: The Garden of Adonis, suite for flute and harp. The title is based on a mystical canto from the long poem 'The Faerie Queene' attributed to Edmund Spenser (c.1552-1599). This canto describes a garden of rebirth or reincarnation where souls appear as flowers.
