Garrett Fisher

American composer Garrett Fisher (b. 1970). As part of his parents' academic sabbaticals, the family lived in Istanbul, London, Paris and other cities. He attended Oberlin Conservatory. His interest in music from other cultures also led to his studying the 'tabla' and classical Indian singing. After graduation he moved to Seattle. Fisher is a prolific composer and has his own ensemble, the Fisher Ensemble.
