This is the first-ever recording of a forgotten oratorio by Théodore Dubois (1837-1924), composed in the early 1870s. The project was initiated by Palazzetto Bru Zane – Centre de musique romantique française (Venice), which carried out the musicological research.
This is the first recording in what is to be a long-term collaboration between Les Cris de Paris and Aparté; the next one will be devoted to Robert Schumann.
